This colonial home was a full renovation where every detail was thoughtfully reconsidered — from the flooring and crown molding to the hardware and even the hinges on the doors. The goal was to create a home that felt updated and functional for a young family, while still maintaining the warmth and character of a classic colonial. The heart of the renovation centered around the kitchen, which the clients wanted to feel warm yet modern. We selected a leathered countertop finish that brought texture and depth to the space while also being incredibly practical for everyday life with two young children. The kitchen island color became the starting point for the design direction of the first floor. From there, the adjacent dining room wallpaper was selected to create a subtle conversation between the two spaces, setting the tone for a layered and cohesive flow throughout the home.
