The Vineyard Room
A space that had been left untouched during a previous full-home, multi-year renovation, this room became a true build-from-scratch project for the young family of five. With three children, the goal was to create a space that felt beautiful,layered, and highly multifunctional for everyday life.The color green became the starting point for the design, and because the family spends summers in Martha’s Vineyard, the entire room slowly evolved around that inspiration — relaxed, coastal, and collected without feeling overly themed. New ceiling moldings were added to bring depth and architectural character to the space, along with a custom built-in that functions as a homework station for the children while still feeling elevated and cohesive within the design. A custom-sized sofa anchors one end of the room, creating a comfortable place for the family to gather or entertain friends, while a game table on the opposite side adds another functional layer to how the room is used day to day.
